Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Supplier Readiness Management supports the Purchasing organization by proactively monitoring and supervising suppliers, to ensure on-time completion of series tooling and deliveries of parts. Your task includes avoiding/minimizing trouble shooting activities prior to project launch.
The role contains working with suppliers / toolmakers as well as within the Scania and Volkswagen organization. Based on a structured process, you will take part in cross-functional meetings including suppliers to set the basis for your task to monitor, track and supervise suppliers / toolmakers on a regular basis and feedback the status to Scania.
You will be responsible for various parts / suppliers and do frequent international travelling. You will report to the manager of the Supplier Readiness Management team.
Main tasks:
Your profile
You have most probably an academic degree in engineering and have good experience in tool design and tool fabrication, production or quality assurance. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have skills relating to project work and/or project management, ideally within Scania and/or the automotive sector.
Good language skills in English are a requirement.
You have the ability to collaborate as well as build trust and you are clear in your communication with others. You will meet many new contacts in an international environment where different cultures meet. It is therefore essential that you create and maintain good relationships. You should have high integrity and good judgment. Travelling is an essential part of the work and you need to manage new situations.
