Vattenfall IT Trainee – young engineers i Stockholm (Solna)

Within Vattenfall IT we are looking for five young engineers who would like to develop their technical skills in different areas as well as skills needed for project management. You will become one of our trainees and as such, given the possibility to develop yourself professionally as well as personally during one year. As a trainee you will get a quick-start in IT with different assignments and rotation in different areas. You will be offered trainings, a mentorship and will have the opportunity of working internationally.

The assignments will be in the areas of Analytic Solutions , SAP ERP Solutions, Technical reporting, Metering and NIS and Infrastructure Delivery Coordination.

Descriptions and examples from the different areas

Power BI and analytics areas
Many decisions and nearly all solutions for our customers are based on data. We collect data, process it and use it to develop new innovative solutions. You will work in a dynamic environment that is rapidly evolving due to the latest innovations (digitalization of the energy revolution, big data, etc.).

Together with our business partners, you will accompany Vattenfall's path to becoming a digital and even more customer-oriented energy service provider by using a wide variety of data sources for designing, developing and implementing complex query and analysis routines.

Metering and NIS area
Here it’s all about configuring, optimizing & maintaining the application environment of Vattenfall’s power plants across all countries. How can our applications help the business to measure Co2? How can we assure 100% availability of our energy distribution network? You will play a role in contributing to solving these topics!

Here you will have the possibility to learn more about the energy industry under change:

• Participate in or lead projects to fulfil our customers need in the area of metering and network information
• Working with customer requirements
• Development and maintenance of applications operated within IT

Delivery coordination area
Here you will learn more about technical infrastructure parts. You will coordinate all the needed steps to make the infrastructure up and running, installations, upgrades, testing.

You will act as project manager for smaller infrastructural assignments and take the lead regarding problem- and root–cause analyses. Also important is the ability to produce and present different kinds of reports towards the customer

SAP ERP area
Our SAP ERP systems are the backbone for a lot of our core business processes within Finance, Logistics or Plant Maintenance. To further improve we need to drive harmonization, digitisation and mobilization or connecting the SAP ERP world with Analytics or IOT. You will work on requirements together with your business partners and translate them into IT solutions and have the opportunity to develop into a project management role.

Your Profile
