Do you want to be a key part of a team focused on increasing the reach of cloud computing across stakeholders in the Gaming industry? Do you have the industry background, technical depth, and communication skills needed to help further establish Amazon as the leader in the Gaming Industry? AWS is looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager who shares a passion and commitment to the industry understanding key business trends impacting games and is capable of managing market development efforts across Europe for AWS, working cross functionally with internal Amazon gaming teams globally, to help position and drive the right technology solutions to enable gaming customers to innovate and create the next level of gaming experiences.

Your responsibilities will include conducting discussions with key publishers, developers, key industry partners, attending and speaking at industry events, and engage the broader gaming teams to enable industry solutions, creating significant new business opportunities for AWS. You will develop mechanisms to support the AWS business development teams to help drive their day-to-day interactions with gaming customers. You will work cross functionally with Amazon gaming teams to develop and promote gaming solutions & services that support customers in creating immersive games experiences and promote adoption of AWS Gaming services in the Industry.
The ideal candidate will have both a business background that enables them to drive engagement and interact at the CxO/VP level, and a good strategic technical background to understand and be able to position AWS services for the right industry workloads. He/she should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness is a must.

Roles & Responsibilities:
· Serve as a key member of the Business Development team to help drive European AWS market and technical strategy for the Gaming industry,
· Help define and perform on a key market development plan and ensure it's in line with the AWS strategic direction, in partnership with key internal stakeholders (e.g. business development teams, service teams, legal, support, etc.),
· Help define and size segments, identify and liaise with key customers, and identify and involve key relevant partners,
· Build business development pipeline by liaising with key prospects and partners,
· Understand the technical requirements of customers and work closely with the internal development teams to help guide the direction of product offerings for developers,
· Have experience using Salesforce,
· Present business reviews to senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to expanding AWS reach in the industry, and communicate the state of the business,
· Have the ability to support complex contract negotiations and liaison with legal teams when needed,
· Handle a high volume of projects in the fast pace of the cloud computing market.

· The right person will be strategic, analytical and possess substantial progressivee of business development or program/product management experience managing Gaming Industry accounts,
· Strong leadership skills are key, with proven verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations,
· Relevant technical knowledge is helpful, such as: multiplayer game server technology, analytics & Big data based game monetization, fundamentals of cloud computing and virtualization, storage systems, content delivery networks (CDNs) etc. with ability to go deep enough on relevant technologies key to the industry,
· Education- BA in Tech Field - Computer Science, and/or Engineering/Math background is highly desired; working knowledge of software development practices and data center / infrastructure / networking technologies highly desired.

· The right person will have demonstrated working in a similar role or have been in a consulting role to the Gaming Industry,
· MBA is desired,
· Demonstrated strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations,
· Good working knowledge of the AWS game industry services & solutions.
