We are looking for you who wants to join us in the challenge of taking our Infrastructure Services to the next level and to be part of a growing service organization where every day is a new experience! We are looking for a driven Service Manager to take responsibility for our brand new service area Identities, Directories and Access.


Infra Services section End User Services have created a third Service area where we will gather Directory services (Active Directory, Authentication, Federation services) together with Identity Access Management and also include handling privileged access accounts. This is one of our most important areas were our architectural map, systems and processes support more than 175.000 H&M users globally. For this new area we are looking for a driven Service Manager to lead and take responsibility for the delivery within the service area, to manage & control daily operations, steer, support and coach the team, budget responsibility, to be responsible for agreements and contracts and adding new services to our service portfolio, initiate and steer projects were we develop new features and functions to support H&M future needs, onboard systems to our IAM platform etc and also drive pure agile development for the IAM platform. This is an exciting and broad role where you will participate in creating, building and structuring our new area and team.


As a Service Manager, you ensure we have the right services and agreements in place to deliver accurate and efficient IT Services to our users and business areas within the H&M organization. You are responsible for the service portfolio within the area as well as the future roadmap and therefore your ability to see the whole picture and connect technology to business value is key.


You will lead a great team of Service Delivery Managers, project members and development team and work close with End User Services management and many other teams at our division Infrastructure & Operations. Service Delivery Managers are responsible for the daily operational delivery from our vendors and make sure they deliver according to expectations and goals. You will work close with stakeholders to understand their future needs and make sure we are one step ahead. For this, your ability to communicate and motivate is one of the key ingredients for success.

Your responsibilities


The job of an H&M Service Manager comes with lots of responsibility and lots of fun. Your to do list includes:


  • Continually build business knowledge and understand the IT or Supporting Service contribution to business outcome
  • Overall accountable for the deliveries within Identities, Directories and Access services and coach and support your team
  • Maintain and develop the service portfolio
  • Work with strategies for the technical architecture together with our architects and develop and implement roadmaps for the services aligned with business needs and strategies
  • Make sure the delivery over the lifecycle is in line with H&M policies and guidelines
  • Communicate with and report performance to stakeholders
  • Manage the budget for the area
  • Lead/participate in supplier meetings and contract negotiations


Your skills


Just like everyone at H&M, we believe you are a social, open, communicative, sales-minded and ambitious team player full of drive and optimism and your skills include:


  • At least 5 years’ experience of Service Delivery Management and/or other management roles
  • Being a strong leader with the ability to motivate and make things happen
  • Good knowledge of infrastructure technologies and how they contribute to business value and experience of working with operation and support in a global IT organization and good knowledge of the processes in this field
  • Good knowledge about Microsoft Identity Manager and Microsoft Active Directory and experience of agile development methods (SCRUM, Kanban)
  • Experience of managing outsourced deliveries
  • Good knowledge of working with requirements and experience from contract negotiations with large IT vendors and service suppliers in an on-shore/off-shore setup
  • Experience from budgeting and following up costs
  • Good knowledge of ITIL and ITSM
  • Fluent in written/spoken English and Swedish
