Are you ready for new exciting challenges? We are looking for 2 Solution Designers to our Development- and Operations Tools team (called DOT) within service area Shared Systems. One Solution Designer will be focusing on the Design/Build and Configure area and one within Requirement, Test and Validation area.


 Shared Systems delivers services to both business and the IT-department, including collaboration solutions, budget solutions, IT service-and asset management solutions as well as development tools solutions.


As a Solution Designer in the DOT team you act as a SPOC towards our customers and users, towards our partner TCS and towards our Product Suppliers. You are responsible for customer dialogue and requirement work. As a solution Designer you will work close to the business to translate business demands to solution requirements. It’s important that you understand the H&M landscape and integration between tools and solution design.


As a Solution Designer you perform pre-studies, POCs and prototypes bases on the customers and their team’s needs, analyses and high-level design.


You need to be a communicative person as you will be in contact with suppliers and stakeholders. We believe that changes and development thrives you and that you like to follow what’s happening in the area/tools roadmap and in the market. You have a strategic mind with ability to have a helicopter view. We also think you like to work in a high paced environment in collaboration with others. Your responsibilities


The Solution Designer role at H&M comes with a lot of responsibility – and lots of fun.


Your to do-list and your responsibilities includes:


  • Responsible for Customer Dialogue and Requirement work
  • Work close with business to translate business demands to solution requirements
  • Understand our users/team’s problems
  • Know how our products can be used in an optimal way (.NET, JAVA, SAP)
  • Escalation point towards TCS (Quality, Time, requirements, budget follow up and Steering)
  • Understand H&M: s landscape and integration between tools and solution design
  • Prototyping based on teams/divisions
  • Order and requirement towards TCS
  • Drive, order and follow on decided tool upgrades and improvements
  • Quality assurance and Verify solutions
  • Secure that H&M policys and architectural and security guidelines are followed
  • Follow what is happening in the Tools area/the Tools road map and in the market
  • Perform pre-studies, POCs, prototypes, analyses and high level design
  • Contact person for product suppliers


Your skills

And your skills include:


  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, in English
  • Experience and knowledge of JAVA and .NET
  • Experience of DevOps
  • Experience of Agile way of working such as Scrum, Kanban
  • Experience of working with Vendors
  • Able to have a helicopter wiew but also see details


For the Solution Design role within the Requirement, Test and Validation area you should have experience from:


  • Working as a designer (min 1-2 years)
  • Worked with requirements (min 1-2 years)
  • Working as a tester (min 2-3 years)


For the Solution Design role within Design/Build and Configure area you should have experience from:


  • Working as a tester/developer (minimum 2-3 years)
  • Working as a designer (1-2 years)
