Global Logistics Development Engineer / Project Manager – New technologies implementation

Logistics Strategy and project (OX) is organized in the central Logistics organisation (O) with the mission to develop and strengthen Scania common competence and processes within Logistics. We work with development of our common logistics processes, with focus on the physical processes connected to our Internal logistics but on an overall level work with implementing new methods, technical and digital tools in all our logistics processes. As the global logistics project office we manage and participate in Logistics projects connected to Cross-Brand, Cross- functional and/ or strategic project for logistics.

With more than 44 000 peoples involved into 100 countries, Scania, International Swedish company and trucks manufacturer known for the high quality level of their product and its modern organization is looking for its units in Europe a Global Logistic development engineer / Project manager to support the new technologies development / implementation. The position is settled at Södertälje. 

You will work at OX – Logistic strategy and Project, and we offer to you as a first assignment to develop , support and implement the logistic flows automatization in all Units in Europe with the AGV solution (Automated Guided Vehicle). You will run that topic integrated in a dedicated team linked to the OX department and will be responsible for:

    • Creating a portfolio for different types of AGV including specifications, preferred application areas and suppliers
    • Supporting and guiding physically the PRUs in Europe to implement AGVs
    • Supporting the definition of the local AGV road map (ramp up)
    • Supporting the AGV logistic processes development
    • Helping with the flows analysis, solve traffic and safety issues
    • Guiding the different local projects with costs / product / technologies issues
    • Designing the AGV and its configuration
    • Preparing the Logistics organization around AGV (Training / safety rules)
    • Doing the Installation / tests follow-up

You will also have the scope to contribute to the development of new technologies and their applications on future projects

Profile
You have a Master degree or similar formal education. You have a documented knowledge on logistics processes (Logistics flows, material supply, Material facade management etc) and a big interest for the new technologies.

In the position there will be need of travels and from time to time longer assignments on different production units during the implementation and special care phase of the project. It would also be appreciated if you have experience from supplier contacts and purchasing of equipment’s.

You work independent, are a good communicator, methodical, analytical and take responsibility. You appreciate to have a wide network of colleagues. English language is of course mandatory. We also search for Autonomous – Able to lead and structure activities, both in a local / global perspective – Able to push and do things by him/herself. Being able to cooperate and communicate at different levels. You like to be on the field.
