Sportamore is the leading sporting goods e-tailer in the Nordics. We are a fast growing pure player that is currently looking for a world class candidate to join our executive team. Every month five million visitors come to us looking for inspiration, information and motivation – making us the by far largest online destination in the Nordics for sporting goods consumers.

Over the last years we have received multiple awards; Best retailer, Best customer service and Best e-commerce of the year – and we are just getting started.  In 2017 we invested in a new, state of the art, highly automated fulfillment center which tripled our capacity to handle customer orders. The foundation for growth has never been better.

We are now moving on, ready to write the next chapter of our story. To maximize our potential, we are looking for someone to lead the charge and deliver on our vision; to be The Undisputed no 1 in Sporting Goods Online. Expectations are high – you will be working for the most agile and fastmoving company in the business. You have an outstanding track record showing that you have the skills and capacity required to excel in the job of driving a continuously growing stream of new customers to our sites. The digital landscape is your home and you know how, and who to call, to make not only our business thrive, but also to create success others only dream of.

Your three most important priorities will be to:

  • Actively increase Sportamore’s brand awareness in all markets
  • Vigorously increase and optimize traffic acquisition in all markets
  • Actively increase customer acquisition from new and existing channels in all markets

Responsibilities

  • Ownership, development and implementation of Sportamore’s Brand strategy.
  • Ownership, development and implementation of the marketing strategy for new and existing categories and private labels.
  • Develop and take full responsibility on maintaining budgets, forecasts and marketing calendar required to meet daily targets.
  • Responsible for performance marketing from all paid channels which currently accounts for more than 70% of marketing budget.
  • Report on the effectiveness of all marketing activities using pre-determined KPIs in order to achieve the highest possible impact and consequently return on advertising spend.
  • Actively seek out and collaborate cross-functional in the organisation to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Build, nourishes and lead the way for our world class marketing team. 
  • Lead the production of valuable and engaging content for our sites and other channels that attracts and converts consumers.
  • Design, build and maintain our social media presence across all digital channels.
  • Analyze user experience across channels and determine potential improvements.
  • Continually review changes to the market, consumer trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary.
  • Build relationships, negotiate deals and collaborations with key industry players, agencies and vendors.
  • Lead, inspire and enthuse your colleagues, partners and peers. 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s degree in engineering or business administration.
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing, 7+ years’ experience in marketing and/or advertising.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • High understanding and proven track record of brand building and traffic acquisition.
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Acts pragmatically, respects deadlines, and understands that no one else does the job for you.
  • Good taste, a sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to revolutionize the e-commerce industry.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment adapting to new changes. Powered and stimulated by driving results and ambitious targets.
  • Characteristics as positive attitude, honesty and humility.
