Do you want to be a key player in building a world-class interior brand? Are you passionate about customer service and ready for an exciting challenge in one of the first H&M HOME Concept Stores? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

 

H&M HOME is a brand within the New Business Group at H&M that currently consists of nine separate brands: COS, & Other Stories, H&M HOME, Monki, Weekday, Arket, Cheap Monday and Afound. Each brand has their own management team who sets the strategies and manages operations to ensure growth and profitability through colleagues, best customer offer, constant improvements and expansion.

 

As a group, we see great potential for H&M HOME to become a strong player in the global interior industry and are therefore investing in further developing and building the brand and its organization. Started in 2009 we are currently present on 46 markets through 335 shop-in-shops and on 38 markets online at hm.com/home. In 2018, we plan to open our first own H&M HOME Concept Stores in major European cities and are therefore looking for talented Department Managers to join our team.

H&M HOME is a design-driven interior brand with the purpose to make it possible for many people to create a modern and inspiring home. Our vision is to be a world-class interior brand offering modern design and quality at the best price in an inspiring and sustainable way. 2018 will be an intense and very exciting year for the H&M HOME brand. We will open at least 7 Concept Stores in several European markets, and get the chance to meet and inspire our customers in a new and more personal way.

The role as Department Manager

 

As Department Manager at H&M HOME you work with your team to create and excellent and inspiring shopping experience for our customers every day. By providing an excellent customer experience in our Concept Stores, we believe we will create brand awareness and drive selling also to our other sales channels, online and shop in shops. You lead your team using motivation, inspiration and available tools for great customer service, as well as securing routines and global guidelines. You are an ambassador for the brand and together with the team you strive to exceed customer expectations and drive selling on the sales floor, that’s where it all happens!

We are looking for a strong and passionate leader who thrives in a fastmoving environment full of customers to please, employees to guide and high-set business goals to reach.

Your responsibilities

 

The job of a Department Manager comes with lots of responsibility – and lots of fun. Your to-do list includes:

  •  Provide excellent customer service in your store, and coach your team to always keep our customer top of mind.
  •  Plan and organize the daily work in store, together with the Store Manager, by being a motivating and inspiring role model, always prioritizing our customers.
  •  Ensure that all routines, store operations, staff planning and work environment are being followed to meet our customer service expectations.
  •  Share knowledge and skills with your colleagues, offering help where needed to build a positive working atmosphere.
  •  Secure a seamless customer experience, by being aware of what online and store activities going on at the moment.
  •  Create and follow up the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly plan to secure sales goals, commercial focuses and customer service, together with the Store Manager.
  •  Set an example for your team by always acting in line with H&M Group values, H&M Home brand DNA and Global leadership expectations.

Your profile

  •  Ability to communicate expectations and information to your team

  •  Ability to evaluate and improve both your own and your team’s performance to reach objectives and results
  •  A positive and coaching attitude, and a willingness to learn and improve
  •  An entrepreneurial approach, where you think outside the box to solve unexpected challenges. It’s the first time we do this, so a lot of creativity and courage is needed!
