The AI & Automation domain at Klarna contributes to the Klarna user experience by automating web workflows and data extraction for online shopping and personal finance. We are directly involved in both method development and building production-grade services for this purpose. Our products use a combination of tool-based, algorithmic and machine learning techniques.

We are looking for versatile Software engineers with proven records of building and maintaining backend services, who can take a leading role in infrastructure projects, and act as an informal software development mentor to their colleagues. 

Who you are

• You are comfortable writing Python.
• You are experienced working with modern infrastructure such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• You are familiar with designing and building distributed and scalable systems.
• You are experienced with deploying robust microservices.
• You know and care about good engineering practices like continuous delivery and automated testing.
• You have a good understanding of algorithms and data structures.

What you will do

• Design, develop and deploy backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency and scalability.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, infrastructure, CI & CD pipelines.
• Take ownership for different services, eventually taking part in an on-call rotation.
• Act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.
