Klarna’s mission is to free people from all the meaningless time spent managing money and purchases, so they can do more of what they love. Every day at Klarna we help consumers, merchants, and partners to explore just how smoooth the modern purchase experience can be. Our position at the crossroads of payments, consumer financing, ecommerce and banking means we are uniquely positioned to do this. There is no label for what we do.
Klarna was born in Stockholm in 2005 and today has 2500 employees working across Europe and the US. We currently serve 60 million consumers, work together with 130,000 merchants and process more than a million payment transactions a day. We are growing at 40% year on year and our investors include Visa, Atomico, Sequoia Capital, Permira and Bestseller group/ Anders Holsch Povlsen. We have strong partnerships with some of the world’s leading brands, such as ASOS, IKEA, Adidas, Zara, Lufthansa and Spotify.

Klarna is growing faster than ever. Our network infrastructure and services needs to continuously evolve to meet Klarna group needs and customer expectations. In order to enable growth with even more speed we are now in need of more passionate network engineers.As we are growing we have evolved the team structure - today Klarna has two network teams that are working closely together - Core Network and Application Network
What you will do
As a Network Engineer you will work with the network infrastructure - wireless, switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, IPSEC/VPN, external connections (dark fiber, wavelength services, MPLS) or on more application related services such as CDN, WAF, Certificate Management, DNS/IPAM etc.Our responsibility covers data center networks, cloud networks, office networks and everything in between. Our mission is to deliver the smooothest user experience ever. Even though we often work with infrastructure in a classic way we are evolving the way we work. We automate as much as possible in order to deliver faster with the highest quality. Speed is essential to keep up with business needs.
You should have
As a candidate we would like you to have good experience with both data center and office networks. You probably have an area where you consider yourself to be the expert. You are a team player that likes to grow together with the team. Giving support to your colleagues as well as listening to them is natural for you. You have probably good experience with routing protocols, dhcp, dns, 802.1x, policy servers etc. in an enterprise environment. You like automation development and have done some work with python and ansible. You value structure and use it to gain speed rather than to slow you down.
