About Online Legal & Domain
Online Legal & Domain is a highly specialized team within H&M Online Sales, which consists of Legal Counsels, a Domain & Social Media Strategist and a Domain & Social Media Coordinator. By offering our support we help all brands in the H&M group to make the best business decisions and build trust with our customers.
 
Your responsibilities
The job as a Legal Counsel at H&M Online Sales comes with lots of responsibility – and lots of fun. You will work different legal issues but mainly act as a Data Privacy Coordinator(DPC). The DPC role is new which means that you will have a possibility to influence and develop the role.
 
Your areas of work will consist of:
  • Primarily Act as DPC for Online Sales which includes compliance reporting and support for privacy process owners, participate in cross-forums, set guidelines, compliance reporting, align and support country Data Privacy Controllers and deliver scorecards.
You will also:
  • support our existing e-commerce platforms to ensure local legal compliance of e.g. Terms & Conditions, data privacy and cookies.
  • Support all brands and departments within the H&M group with legal advice to make the best business decisions.
  • Interpret business requirements into legal requirements and vice versa.
  • Advise our Business Development department on new initiatives, e.g. Online Return in Stores, Next Day Delivery and other Customer offer improvements.
  • Support the Online Expansion team with legal advice when entering new markets.
  • Support the business so we can increase our traffic online, build consumer trust and strengthen our presence online.
  • Resolve Alternative Dispute Resolution matters together with our Customer Service team.
  • Advise our Marketing department on e.g. newsletters, campaign terms and sign-up solutions.
  • Assist the Public Affairs team with legal analysis regarding various legal initiatives on EU or state level, such as the EU Digital Single Market Initiative and Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms.
  • Advise in procurement processes and finalizing agreements.
  • Work alongside other Legal Counsels specialized in areas such as IP, logistics and data privacy.
 
Who are you?
For this role, you will need a university degree in law and preferably 2-3 years’experience in legal areas such as:
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Consumer Law and Consumer Rights
  • Marketing and Advertising
 
Other areas of merit includes:
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution
  • Competition within e.g. sales and pricing
  • Public Affairs
  • Previous e-commerce experience in online retailing is a plus

The position is full time and located at our Head Office in Stockholm, Sweden.
