Scania Finans AB (SFA) is a financial services company within the business unit Scania Financial Services. We offer financing and insurance of Scania products through seven branches in the Nordic and Baltic countries. SFA is a financial services company under the supervision of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, Finansinspektionen. With a balance sheet total exceeding 11 billion SEK, SFA is one of the largest financial services companies within Scania Financial Services. The company has around 80 employees, of which half are located at the headquarters in Södertälje.

Job description

The Business Control function at SFA is now looking for 1-2 Business Controllers responsible for financial analysis, and management reporting as a whole. Combining sound business understanding with analytical and financial skills, the Business Controllers help SFA’s department heads and Branch Managers understand the performance of the business from a financial perspective, and how current performance is contributing to reaching the financial and operational goals of the company. Furthermore, the Business Controllers have a key part in the financial planning and budgeting processes of SFA. The position also includes being back-up for the Treasurer with responsibility for the company’s funding and liquidity management, including the interest rate and duration structure of the company’s borrowings. The role also includes financial risk reporting to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors, as well as to Finansinspektionen. The Business Controllers report to SFA’s Finance Manager. For the right candidate, the position is a good stepping stone towards a career within finance at Scania.

Job requirements

We are looking for a high potential candidate with ambitions to take on a leading role in Scania Finans AB’s finance department’s continued development towards becoming a fully-fledged business support function. The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • A degree in business administration, economics or similar.
  • 2-5 years’ previous experience from controlling.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting concepts, rules and regulations.
  • Experience of improvement work.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English.
  • Experience from QlikView and HFM is a merit.
  • Experience from a financial services/ capative finance company or the commercial heavy vahicle industri is a merit.

You need to be analytical as well as creative when it comes to finding the appropriate methods and solutions to problems. You are used to working in an international organization, and enjoy working in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment. We believe you are self-driven, structured and communicative, with a good sense of priorities and experience in working against deadlines.
