Strategic Purchasing and Commercial Relations Specialist to Rocvolt

In line with our focus on zero emission and our strategy on new and innovative technologies to increase safety and underground working environment, Epiroc has decided to establish a new function, Rocvolt, with dedicated focus on Epiroc battery business. Rocvolt’s mission is to accelerate the use of electrical drivelines and to support growth of the Epiroc battery business. This will be done by collaborating with key suppliers and partners, increasing installations of electrical driveline and the increase of battery revenues with existing platforms and to develop, as well as offer added value services. Rocvolt will be a complementary business and service to already ongoing and planned technology and development activities for electrification and products in the Underground Rock Excavation division. We are now looking for a Strategic Purchasing and Commercial Relations Specialist to be a part of an exciting new journey together with Epiroc.

Mission

As Strategic Purchasing and Commercial Relations Specialist your mission will be to secure supplier and customer base agreements, deliveries and availability according to customers demand. In the role as Strategic Purchasing and Commercial Relations Specialist it will be your province to secure efficient control when it comes to cost, quality, lead time, supplier's payment terms and logistics. As Strategic Purchasing and Commercial Relations Specialist you need to show interpersonal and communicational skills to build successful relationships. In this role your mission will also be to carry out local and global negotiations, customer terms and conditions and partnership agreements. The role also includes work task such as presentation of documented results from financial analysis, and you are also expected to take on project management for smaller projects.

Skills and Knowledge

To succeed in this role, you need to have a university degree our equal education, and multiple years (5-7 years) of experience within relevant field. As Strategic Purchasing and Commercial Relations Specialist you need to work in a structured way, and you have documented experience from working within projects and you are able to take on smaller projects. To have experience from SILF or similar organizations is advantageous. To be successful in this role you need to have skills and experience when it comes to negotiations. Since English is our corporate language and is widely used within the organisation, you need to have good skills in English both verbal and written.

To enjoy work, it is important that you have the drive to develop your own personal and professional skills, and to have a result driven mentality. The role involves a lot of collaboration both internally and externally, therefore you need to show good interpersonal and communicational skills. You are customer centric and understand our customers’ needs and look to fulfil or exceed their expectations. Since you will be working within an innovative environment you need to be courageous and dare to take the right actions and carry them through. You are well-informed, and you come up with solutions to make things happen. In this role you need to be able to travel. We see it as meritorious if you have a positive reputation and a network of industry contacts within relevant business area.
