Your future responsibilities
You’ll join Group Translation – Nordea’s in-house Nordic translation unit with local country teams in the four Nordic countries. All translators are senior and highly skilled doing translation and proof-reading for the entire Nordea Group. We coordinate pan-Nordic multi-language translation assignments, working closely together to meet deadlines for Nordea's quarterly reports, press releases, intranet articles, market research, customer and investor communication and many other texts. We have top-tuned translation processes, utilising the latest translation tools and workflow management systems.
What you’ll be doing:
- Translate mainly English texts into Swedish – often with very tight deadlines.
- Coordinate and administer translation assignments for the Swedish translation unit.
- Proof-read texts.
- Update and align translation memories.
- Contribute to building Nordea terms, our terminology database.
- Participate in developing Group Translation as an efficient, professional and compliant unit with a strong focus on our customers.

Your profile and background:
- A master’s or, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in languages, and a minimum of 5-8 years’ experience as a translator of financial texts, including legal content, macroeconomics, business administration and accounting.
- A minimum of 5-8 years’ experience of using translation software (CAT), preferably SDL Trados Studio at advanced user level.
- Fluent in Swedish and excellent skills in English. Knowledge of other Nordic language is considered an advantage.
- A team player open for collaboration tools like Yammer and Teams.
- Flexible, customer-oriented, proactive, and take pride in delivering high-quality translations.
- Thorough, well organised and work well under pressure.
