Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

The automotive industry is going through a great technology shift where every significant player is trying to position themselves in the driving seat. This trend has seen major changes in the vehicles electrical system and one of the areas where we have seen a vast improvement over the years has been within the Infotainment system. Scania vehicles have one of the market’s very best driver environments and we intent to work towards keeping this position. We are looking for you, who has a big interest in embedded system development to help us meet the future challenges of improving our infotainment system and contributing towards the overall driver experience in our vehicles. At Infotainment group (ESDI) you will participate in exciting and innovative projects with great opportunity for personal development.

Your Task
As a development engineer you will participate in development of next generation Infotainment system´s various components, such us; Media,  Hands Free Telephone, Connectivity, Navigation, Cameras, Displays as well us Head Unit.
 
The available positions are Function Owner and Tester.
 
As a Function Owner you will be required to; Work closely with our marketing team to create a roadmap for your functions. Propose and develop new functions to meet our customer´s needs. Develop, write and issue specifications for your functions and with help of our purchasing department you will manage our suppliers to achieve the project goals in the schedule time.
 
As Tester you will plan and lead the testing efforts, set the testing requirements for the project, develop and standardize testing methods, analyse and present the test results as well as advice on the product perceived qualities.
 
Profile
Ideally you’ll have an engineering degree and 3 to 5 years experience within embedded system development (programming or testing). As an individual you are structured, accurate, communicative and have very good knowledge of English, both verbally and in writing.
CAN, CANalyzer/CANoe experience and development of automated tests scripts are an advantage.
A C-driving licence is also plus.
