Business oriented Legal Counsel or legally oriented business person i Stockholm

Are you a business oriented Legal Counsel or a legally oriented Business Person with experience from commercial agreements? Are you a creative and poised team player with a keen interest in pop culture? You might be our new colleague!

The License and Product Collaboration team supports all divisions within the Global Buying Office in working with external intellectual property owners/creators such as licensed characters, music artists, designers and illustrators. The team provides trend analysis & research, royalty reporting & forecasting, and handles the full process of negotiating and maintaining agreements.

This role is responsible for negotiating, drafting and reviewing agreements together with the License Coordinator / Project Coordinator, as well as maintaining existing licensing and collaboration agreements. 

We are looking for someone with:

Experience from commercial agreements – Review and draft different types of agreements, and assess risks both from a legal and business perspective. Great attention to detail.

Negotiation skills – Good observer, ability to understand the other side’s interests and find win-win solutions.

Project management skills - Organize, prioritize, plan and drive; full ownership of assigned projects from A to Z.   

H&M knowledge (or eager to learn!) – Curiosity & willingness to learn about our company and the business processes related to our agreements (product development process, sustainability method etc), in order to understand and assure that necessary bits are covered in all agreements we enter into.  

We believe you have:

-      2-3 years of experience from commercial agreements, preferably in English.  

-      A university degree in a relevant field. An interest in Intellectual Property law (trademarks & designs) is a plus.

-      Fluent written and spoken English (business & legal terminology).
