The Wings Team Manager is responsible for coaching their teams to be Red Bull representatives and a tangible face of the brand. They are accountable for ensuring that the Wings Team approaches consumers in a charming, natural and unforced way. In their role they also need to communicate product-benefits and functionality, and to drive trial by supplying consumers with the product in relevant occasions to gain consumer understanding and inviting repurchase. • Communicate clear expectations and guidelines to the Wings Team in order to achieve and meet targets successfully
• Understand the consumer landscape and how to approach and reach a variety of consumers in different consumption occasions
• Coach the Wings Team to deal with different types of consumers, effective ways of communicating, and how to deal with crisis communication in order to drive successful product trial and authentic brand representation
• Implement and uphold the International recruitment, on-boarding and training module for global consistency and to drive high performing teams, working closely with human resources for local compliance
• Responsible for planning and executing annual conferences and trainings
• Collaborate with the marketing and sales team, combining synergies in order to capitalise on related opportunities
• Support the marketing team in managing and coordinating the Wings Team during special events and projects
• Collaborate with Sales team to develop and implement sales initiatives to drive distribution, stimulate sales and improve visibility in trade.
• Work closely with the Digital Media Manager to amplify the impact of 1:1 sampling interactions and wings team missions in social media, and also use social media as door openers for certain missions
• Work with the Brand and/or Digital Media Manager to create innovative social media tactics around launches and initiatives
• Work closely with HQ to drive and develop the Wings Team program forward
• Regularly assess and analyze the program, identifying opportunities to improve processes and excite consumers
• Share learnings with the line manager in order to drive the development of the program in the right direction
• Invite and inspire the Wings Team to come up with innovative ideas for Red Bull (culture, sports, consumer collecting, digital/social etc.)
• Share and gain project learnings and success stories on Collaboration (the company’s online global sharing platform)
• Support the line manager with budgets and the annual business planning process
• Work cross functionally, managing internal & external requests in line with the annual business plan priorities
• Work closely with the finance team on salary and expense management
• Work closely with the operations team to manage product stock with discipline
• Develop, implement and manage tools used to assist the Wings Team daily operations (e.g. vehicles, outfits, mobile phones, online platform)
• Identify and nurture key Wings Team Leader/WTM talent for the potential space-to-shine opportunity
