As Junior Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) Systems Developer you will play a key role in the technical implementation and support of all Nordic trading products in Vattenfall’s Business Area Markets (BAM).
Your focus will be to work in close collaboration with our stakeholders in Front Office, Sales units and Back Office functions to secure continuous operations of our Nordic market access applications. You will have the opportunity to develop into taking full responsibility for technical maintenance, solution design, and further development of our IT landscape in the Nordic trading area.
The position will also offer you the opportunity to run business driven change initiatives yourself. You should therefore be motivated to also develop a sound understanding of end-to-end processes in the Nordic energy market.
You will be member of a multi-national team with members in Stockholm, Amsterdam and Hamburg.
To be effective in this role, you should possess a sound technical expertise and have a solution driven approach. Also, you should have a self-starting attitude and strong communication and cooperation skills in order to be successful in your collaboration with multinational teams across functional areas.
Your responsibilities would entail to:
• Maintain and develop our existing ETRM systems/applications in the Nordic market region
• Take an active role as developer and ETRM analyst to further improve our system landscape
• Handle issues and incidents that occur in our daily business
• Manage Builds, Change and Release within the function’s responsibility area
• Actively enable our business functions to execute change initiatives on the Nordic energy market
You would need the following qualifications:
• Academic degree within IT, engineering, business administration or similar
• A self-driven, service-minded and communicative team-player
• Good to proficient in general Java programming knowledge
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Willingness to work in international teams
Additionally, it would be a merit if you would possess:
• Knowledge in SOA, Spring, Enterprise architecture and integration platforms, as well as Cloud based technologies, e.g. MS-Azure and Power BI
• Good understanding of the Nordic energy markets Vattenfall operates on
• Knowledge of financial/commodity market instruments
• Experience with Endur or similar ETRM systems
• Experience with agile methods (e.g. SCRUM, XP)
• Fluent in Swedish (written and spoken)
