Your future responsibilities
You’ll join Digital Wealth, a newly created unit responsible for the whole digital offering within Wealth Management in Nordea, including Savings, Investments and Advice. We are going fully digital and will work very close to our customers by flattening the organization and building autonomous agile teams that deliver solutions making our offer relevant to each individual customer. Analytics and machine learning is a new strategic focus area and you will take part in how it's designed both on a technical and organizational level.
You will lead the work to build our analytics solutions/platform, including machine learning, new technology and design the future data architecture. Your focus will be on understanding data, building hypothesis together with business and model building. You will work closely together with business intelligence developers, product owners and other stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the work to develop analytics/machine learning solutions.
- Building the technical team around analytics/machine learning and we see you as the lead/driver for that team going forward.
- Design of the architecture enabling accelerated use of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- Cover the market development of applied analytics and machine learning and how that could be used in our context.
- Support the business in the choice of sustainable suppliers/vendors and ensure reuse of across Nordea and Wealth Management.
- Identify key accelerators for the use of analytics/machine learning and provide decision material to management.
- Be Digital Wealth responsible partner versus key stakeholders in Nordea such as Nordea’s central data scientist team, the Nordea M&A Fintech team and Nordea Business transformation teams.

Your profile and background:
- Driven, pragmatic and show high integrity.
- Outspoken and visionary but experienced enough in knowing that transformations in complex large organizations are made by the people that need to believe in the solutions.
- Highly motivated with a passion for data, analytics and machine learning.
- A master degree in Mathematical Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Economics, Financial Economics, Engineering or any degree related to Data Science.
- 10+ years of experience in the areas of data science, analytics, data warehouse, data mining and machine learning.
- Solid theoretical understanding of the principles behind Machine Learning (statistics) as well as hands on programming skills to implement ML solutions.
- Excellent data modelling skills.
- Knowledge in programming languages and libraries like Python, R, Java, JavaScript, pandas, scikit-learn or equivalent.
- Solid database knowledge (SQL and SSIS) and other data management technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English and Swedish).
