Om tjänsten

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Join our team within Charging Components, a highly motivated and solution-driven group within Electric and Hybrid Powertrain Technology at Scania R&D. We are a group of men and women who have the exciting task to develop charging solutions for our electric fleet of vehicles. These solutions are highly dependent on road based charging infrastructure as well as customized overnight charging facilities. Our main responsibility is to make the vehicle-to-grid connection technically feasible. To achieve this we need to expand the group with several development and test engineers.

Work tasks – development engineer
As a development engineer you will be responsible for components, systems and functional design with the overall goal to make the best possible technical solution available. You will be part of cross functional projects together with colleagues from our purchasing, sales and marketing departments as well as the vast group of technical experts at Scania. Typical tasks will be to specify technical demands on our components, coordinate tests, collaborate with our suppliers and partners and when appropriate, be part of international networks and standardisation committees within the charging community.

Work tasks – test engineer
As a test engineer your responsibility is to perform functional tests on charging components and systems to assure that they reach the demands on performance and quality. You will develop and improve test methods and suggest improvements on test facilities. Tests will be performed in rigs and vehicles and you will continuously evaluate how the product is experienced by our customers. You plan, perform, analyze and report your tests independently and are well integrated in the work done by the development engineers in the group.

Your profile
