The Challenge Ahead:

EA in Stockholm is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage/process payroll for Sweden & Finland. As the Payroll Specialist, you will ensure legislative compliance for both countries, as well as ensure employees are paid accurately according to tax laws. You must have previous experience working with Hogia payroll system.

What a Payroll Specialist does at EA:

• Work with the Payroll Administrator in the monthly processing of all salary information
• Work closely with HR to ensure all relevant monthly change data is received in time for processing for both Finland and Sweden
• Process and control management for SOX controls, including change and design management to ensure compliance
• Be the subject matter expert, and manage complex inpat and expat tax issues, such as Expert Tax Relief, cross country social security laws, and taxation of relocation expenses and benefits
• Work closely with Comp & Ben to ensure all benefits are reported and processed correctly through payroll, including the reporting to Collectum and Söderberg & Partners
• Reviewing of Per Diems claims to ensure compliance
• Monitor and remain completely up-to-date with all legislative changes
• Respond to all queries from employees, authorities and managers
• Labor law knowledge, such as parental leave, sick leave, leavers, starters and contractual issues
• Administration of reports to Försäkringskassan regarding employees sick leave, parental leave and income forms
• Reconciliation, and closure of the tax year end processes
• Manage the processing of various share schemes via the payroll as required by local legislation, including Stock Plans, RSU Plans and ESPP
• Reconcile monthly ESPP contributions and ensure data is submitted to the US in accordance with deadlines
• Ensure full legislation compliance in accordance with published external timetables e.g. Tax, Social
• Security authorities in order to prevent penalties for late payment/reporting
• Look for areas of process improvement and attempt to eliminate the need for manual processing
• Management of the Payroll Administrator

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a busy payroll function
• Experience with Hogia is essential and Visma is a plus
• Excellent MS Excel experience
• Experience of inpats and expats
• Holds a relevant Payroll Qualification
• Expertise in Swedish and Finnish payroll legislation
• Fluent spoken and written English
