You will be a part of High Voltage Products, a business unit within ABB’s Power Grids division. The business unit develops, manufactures and markets high voltage products for HVAC and HVDC systems, such as surge arresters, breakers, instrument transformers, capacitors, cooling systems and cable accessories.

ABB Surge Arresters Sales department is responsible for selling high voltage surge arresters all over the world. We are now looking for ways to cut our time to offer and reduce recurring work, by creating an algorithm, model or function for calculating the price based on a number of variables or factors.

These variables might be energy, voltage level and/or other measurable quantities, but also application type, design type and similar types of characteristics.

The student will use historical and current data as well as input from co-workers as the basis for an analysis of the possibilities to create reliable pricing models for our portfolio.

The student is also requested to create and present the most reliable and cost efficient pricing models.

We are looking for an MSc student with strong analytical capabilities. The person should be independent, driven and collaborative.
