SCM Coordinator i Västerås

In this role you will to be part of ABB in Västerås working in the SCM team for the X2000 Upgrade project.

Are you a self-propelled and skilled tactical or operational purchaser, combining long term tasks with day-to-day firefighting? This is your opportunity to be part of the organization executing complex projects in the railway industry, with focus on upgrades.

We offer you to be involved in the planning and execution of the procurement incentives, ensuring the right components available at the right location at the right time. You will be working closely and cooperatively together with several different functions and partners in a fast-moving environment, both internally and externally. Your role as SCM coordinator will be a main part with a great possibility to influence and grow within the organization. You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and, on request, act as the Supply Chain Manager deputy.

Your main mission will be to coordinate the procurement team, working in close collaboration with other functions such as production, quality, engineering, testing and warranty team, ensure the availability of components, to the production location(s), warranty depots and vendors. You will be handling purchasing and expediting of the major suppliers and be the first point of escalation within the team.

You hold a degree in logistics, procurement or engineering, or you have comparable experiences. To succeed in this role you have about at least 5 years of relevant experience of similar positions and preferable in the rolling stock industry. You are used to work in SAP and have relevant work experiences in the system.

Technical competence of the system Train is of benefit. Fluency in English and Swedish is a must.
