Group BI Solutions is part of the recently formed department Data Warehouse and Big Data  is among other things responsible for the Tele2 Big Data environment – development as well as maintenance. The BD team is made up of consultants as well as employees, working closely together with business, and handles development as well as maintenance. It is for this team that we now are on the search for a Developer. 

This is the job... 

We work in accordance with the agile manifesto. We make sure that we, together with our PO, break our requirements down into minimal viable products and thereby deliver value fast and often to our requestors and stake holders. As a developer in this team, you’re expected to take proactive responsibility in making sure business needs are understood, broken down into Minimal Viable Products, scoped, committed and delivered. Work is conducted in close cooperation with business – Product Owner as well as Stakeholders. 

This is what we’re looking for in a Developer colleague: 

The person we are searching for is an experienced developer who can get an understanding of the problems at hand and can come up with different approaches to solving them. In order to fit in this role you need to be a team player. We believe that knowledge sharing is extremely important, not only through the daily standups but continuously throughout each and every workday. At the same time, you’re expected to take great own responsibility in making sure the team delivers on the committed MVPs. Working as closely together with business as our development teams do, we need people with eminent communication skills who do not shy away from face-to-face-dialogue with stake holders. 

Furthermore, we would like you to: 

• Have experience with Java, Python, Go, Scala and Gradle 
• Have experience from working with Git in a multi-user setting 
• Have knowledge about Kafka, Hadoop, Linux, Cassandra, HBase and distributed systems 
• Have a University degree within IT or equivalent 
• Be fluent in English, written and spoken
