Non-Commercial Goods Purchase
We are looking for a Packaging Buyer to our NCG Purchase department – a part of H&M Global Expansion.
The Global Expansion department is responsible for all current and future stores in the H&M Group world-wide (4900+ Stores). The Expansion team drives all aspects of creating our H&M stores, i.e. to lease, design, draw, buy, build and maintain each store.
The NCG Purchasing function within Global Expansion is responsible for buying Non-Commercial Goods for the H&M stores, for example tables, floors, lights, packaging, visual and marketing material in store. The function manages purchasing for several hundred store projects every year.
We are now looking to further strengthen our team by adding an ambitious and service minded buyer for packaging products. The packaging category includes products such as shopping bags, gift boxes, online packaging material etc.
To be a good fit for the role you should be a flexible person and able to handle high speed and multiple tasks.
Job Description
As a Packaging Buyer, you have responsibility for a category specific assortment and its suppliers.
In the role, you are responsible for implementing the purchasing strategy and ensure actions that will improve suppliers; price, lead-time, quality and sustainability.
You are also responsible for purchasing activities that are connected to a variety of operational, tactical and strategic tasks.
In addition to the above, you are responsible for compiling packaging product development needs, to be an advisory on design, material and technical solutions, to handle artworks towards the suppliers, and to provide technical advice on pre-press and print with the supplier.
Your main responsibilities are
· To work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop the category and supplier base
· Compile product development needs and take a driving role in the product development process from planning to delivery of the final product.
