Software Engineer within BIO Group Functions i Stockholm

The new Cross-Functional Team in BIO Group Functions / Procurement Value stream will consist of an Agile Product Owner, Architect, Business Analysts and Application Specialists.

To complete the team, we are looking for a person familiar with Linux / UNIX platforms to work with both development and maintenance. Initial focus will be on the in-house software built around our external supplier database and invoicing system Raindance from CGI, but you will also work with other systems as Group Procurement is digitalizing its processes and new solutions will be needed.

You will work closely with the Application Specialist for Raindance and also be the back-up for that role. The team is located in in Stockholm and Riga, and the position can be in either site. In this role you will have the following responsibilities:

• Participation in the whole software life-cycle: Design, development, testing and maintenance of services delivered by the team;
• Proactively suggest improvements in our systems;
• Have, and continue to gain, good knowledge of the business in the value stream;
• Support the APO (Agile Product Owner) in managing the backlog prioritizing tasks that come from life cycle management, maintenance and regulatory compliance requirements as well as development of new features;
• Readiness to be on-call for the IT services developed and maintained by the CFT on agreed schedule;
• Solve and deploy solutions of incidents and problems;
• Continuously update existing documentation for the Services;
• Ensure quality awareness and care when designing, building and maintaining software;
• Act as backup for the Raindance Application Specialist.

• Academic degree in software development / engineering or similar;
• Previous experience of working with Raindance is a strong merit;
• Proven experience in development and maintenance on UNIX / Linux platform, programming in some high-level languages e.g. Pearl, Python and coding web solutions;
• Experience from relational databases like Oracle or SQL Server;
• You are self-going and like learning new programming languages and techniques;
• You are solution-orientated, structured and can deliver results both in terms of time and quality;
• Have a customer-centric mindset;
• Good command in English language, Swedish is a bonus.
