Software Engineer i Stockholm

You will, together with the value stream architect and the teams, be involved in the development process from start to finish. You will be responsible for creating IT solutions that fulfill business requirements while following architectural guidelines. You will work as part of the team, interacting with team managers, APO, scrum master, business analysts, application specialist and other stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to make an impact and create great value for the Insurance company.

In the Software Engineer role you will be responsible for:

• Contributing in all areas like analysis, design, development, test and maintenance of services delivered by the team
• Deciding on how to build the solution within architecture frames ensuring quality awareness and care when designing, building and maintaining software and integrations
• On-call for the IT services developed and maintained by the team
• Solving and deploying solutions of incidents and problems
• Continuously updating existing documentation for the services
• Designing new tests, improving existing ones and executing them in order to secure needed quality of the delivered software and IT service
• Ensuring adherence to our agile methodology SWAP
  
  

You are a committed Software Engineer and solution architect with a good grip of Java and associated technologies and patterns. You also have experience from working within an Enterprise environment in a large organization. As a person you need to be a communicative and have a willingness to share your knowledge and learning from your colleagues. You are a problem solver who gets motivated by new responsibilities. You are a committed to realizing business value with high quality. You enjoy a collaborative environment and can act as a team player in the cross functional team and constantly improve the way of working.

• Experience from Java/Web development
• Experience from HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, and the ability to write structured and semantic code
• Knowledge in Java and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Spring, AngularJS)
• Experience from Ajax and asynchronous web services with REST/JSON
• Experience from databases such as MS SQL and Oracle
• Experience from enterprise integrations such as Web Services and MQ
• Some Enterprise security experience e.g. secure web interfaces, certificates and understanding of network security
• Experience from developing responsive and adaptive solutions for mobiles, tablet and desktops is an advantage
• You have the ability to communicate effortlessly in Swedish and English, both in writing and speaking
• You preferably have an academic degree in n an appropriate IT/Design discipline, and proven work experience on the Agile field
