Producer Arctic i Umeå

Do you want to take on the important challenge of making sure Paradox deliver games on time and budget? We are looking for an experienced Producer to lead one of our teams at Arctic, Umeå.

The Producer is responsible for delivering the game on time and budget and is in many ways the counterpoint to the Game Director. The Producer handles organization of the project such as milestone breakdown and delivery, staff planning and production budget. As a Producer at Paradox Arctic coaching your teams and the individuals in them in agile development is an important part of your responsibilities. As is coaching individual team members in soft skills like communication, presentation and other team work related tasks.
The Producer leads the work of continuously improving the team's work processes.

Responsibilities

• Leads project(s), working closely with, for example, a Game Designer for game quality targets and a Tech Lead for technical quality
• Making sure the team is working efficiently to reach key gates
• Risk management (assessment/mitigation/communication)
• Delivering on time, budget and scope
• Coordination with producers and other stakeholders
• Project plans and tracking progress
• Being quick to adapt to changes to the scope, schedule or budget
• Helping the team improve their workflows
• Implementing and coaching team members and stakeholders agile values

Requirements

• Experience of project management or equivalent
• Experience in agile methods
• Experience working in the games industry will be considered a strong advantage
• Experience working with game releases on both PC and console will be considered an advantage
• Knowledge of JIRA will be considered an advantage

The role will require an ability to listen to the opinions of a lot of stakeholders. While at the same time being firm, decisive and making sure things move forward. Furthermore, the role requires an attention to detail and an ability to work organized and with structure. You should also enjoy getting your team to thrive and deliver their best.

Location: This position is based in Umeå
