Non-Commercial Goods Purchase
We are looking for a solution oriented and creative individual for a role as Researcher & Developer for Material and Product to our NCG Purchase department, which is a part of H&M Global Expansion.
The role will be working with packaging products, including shopping bags, gift boxes, online packaging material etc. The packaging team in the NCG Purchase department is a central function responsible for purchasing packaging globally, and covers all brands within the H&M group; H&M, COS, &Other Stories, Arket, Afound, Weekday, Monki and H&M Home.
The Global Expansion department is responsible for all current and future stores in the H&M Group world-wide (4900+ Stores). The Expansion team drives all aspects of creating our H&M stores, i.e. to lease, design, draw, buy, build and maintain each store.
Job Description
In the role as R&D Materials and Products, you have responsibility for sourcing and developing materials and production techniques to match the H&M group and individual brands’ strategies (short & long term). This includes interpreting trends and identifying new materials.
You will be working closely with the Packaging Buyers to jointly ensure that there is a solid alignment between the material and product development roadmap and the purchasing strategies, balancing aspects such as sustainability, quality, price and lead time.
This is a new role in the team. Entrepreneurial thinking, communication skills and collaboration will therefore be highly important to ensure success in the role.
