The team members of Purchasing Exterior are working in a dynamic environment where the development of components to Scania products is running fast and requirements both on the products and our suppliers are increasing.

Responsibilities
As a Commodity Purchaser you are accountable for the strategies and targets within one of Scania purchasing’s most dynamic segments with the high turnover and great saving potentials. 

You will have a lead role in the purchasing 3-ring with a team of SQA and project purchasers where you will support and align activities to ensure the strategies. In your team you also work closely to the segment support who will manage the defined operative task within the segment. 

You will be working closely together with SC management, R&D engineers and management, as well as many other internal functions, to reach common goals. 

In your daily work you will also negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, coordinate and align activities closely with purchasing counterparts in the Traton group. You will perform strategic nominations of new business together with the project purchasers as well as working to align and improve processes within the harness area. 

Your profile
Due to the big variety of challenges and tasks to we looking for an equivalent level to a lead sourcing manager or someone with similar ambitions. 

You are a person who is very interested in paint and purchasing over all. You are probably proactive, structured, organized, flexible, take own initiatives, are able to handle multiple open cases, have a strong commercial interest and love to do business and negotiate. You have at least 3 years of purchasing experience and you are ready to take on a sourcing manager role with your strategic mindset. 

As the role effects all Scania production sides around Europe you have to be fluent in writing and speaking English. Other language skills are an advantage. 

You like to work with cross functions and represent Purchasing in a way where we are a respected partner which delivers as promised and according to targets in a professional way. You are used to performing management presentations where your recommendation/point is made clear and you have the ability to summarize the most important information/results. 

Your work includes a lot of interactions at different levels, both internally and cross-functionally, it is important that you have the ability to collaborate and build trust and are clear in your communication with others. You should have high integrity with a good judgment and can adapt to work according to Scania leadership principles.
