IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

The Scania IT department has established a new technology team with great strategic value for Scania.

The opportunity to do a thesis project at Scania is an excellent way to make contacts for your future career. Many of our current employees started their journeys with a thesis project.

Background:

Scania is looking into new ways of implementing and capitalizing on ideas. In order to enable a concept and long-term structured way of working we have introduced Locations as a way to share ideas. The Locations concept originates from the idea of agile self-organizing teams, connected by a shared interest in different topics.  

Target:

Evaluate different ideation way of working at other companies and recommend one suitable for Scania. The ideation framework should include design principles and guidelines how to work with ideation and Locations at Scania.

Assignment:

Present an ideation framework that will optimize ideas identified at Scania.

Education:
Specify education or specialization: master student in IT or statistics, data science or similar.

Knowledge in the following subjects would be beneficial: architecture frameworks, design principles, component design, software development, ideation and service journey, agile way of working.
