Your responsibilities as Trainee Asset Analyst
The asset analysis department is responsible for different types of analyses related to the assets in our grid, including for example health assessment, maintenance analysis and risk analysis. We are currently working with enabling new methods related to big data, analytics and machine learning. All aiming to improve the quality and the precision in our work and move towards a more predictive asset management.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop the existing methods for risk assessment for individual assets as well as for the asset base
• Perform analysis regarding health, probability of failure, risk, maintenance etc.
• Contribute to reach the full potential of our digital transformation, bridge our way of working today with the methods of tomorrow
• Improve information models and structure
• Take lead in change management and improve our process and workflows
Your Profile as Trainee Asset Analyst
Whether you want a climate smarter career as an energy specialist, visionary manager or inspirational project lead in the energy sector. We offer you these possibilities within the trainee programme. We are looking for recent graduates holding an academic degree. You are fluent in Swedish and business English, both orally and in writing. Skills in other world languages can be a merit. Furthermore, you are willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization. You identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe.
As a Trainee Asset Analysist you recognize yourself in the following qualifications:
• Statistics knowledge and understanding of how to draw conclusions from data, advantageous if combined with an electric power engineering background
• Experience programming in one or several of the following: R, SQL, VisualBasic, Python
• Analytical but with the ability to see the larger perspective and to transform numbers and statistics into a clear basis for decisions
• You are a future leader and have great belief in people and their different abilities
• Experience of risk assessment methods is advantageous

Last day to apply is March 10th 2019. Selection period starts in March/April, followed by interviews in April/May. An assessment is also part of the recruitment process and will take place in May in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. The recruitment process will be finalized around the end of May/beginning of June. The last step will be a pre-employment screening. Starting date of the Vattenfall International Trainee Programme will be September 2nd 2019.
