About this opportunity
Welcome to the Balance Sheet Risk Control/Credit Risk
Model Validation team. We add value by working in an open environment across the
Nordics. Balance Sheet Risk Control is organised within Nordea's Group Risk and
Compliance department. We have the group-wide responsibility and focus on
delivering high-quality validation of Nordea’s credit risk models.
What you’ll be doing:
- Contributing to ensuring the soundness of the
credit risk models by independent validation
- Having a large responsibility for the entire
validation process, including preparations for the official submission of
reports to our stakeholders including regulators
- Contributing to the continuous development and
refinement of our own methodologies and processes
- Working closely together with stakeholders across
the bank, and your assessments will form important input to senior
management decisions
The role is based in Copenhagen or Stockholm and will
be on a 2-year time limited contract, with a possibility for extension.

- Have the ability to write assessment reports on sophisticated models and techniques in an easy to understand and clear language
- Are a high performing individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Have a strong willingness and great potential to develop, both personally and professionally
Your experience and background:
- Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics,
engineering or economics with a specialization in a quantitative subject
like econometrics
- +5 years of working experience from risk
management in a third or second line of defence unit, at the FSA or at a
consultancy company with regulatory compliance
- Experience in programming (SAS, SQL, Python or
similar)
- Proficiency in English, both written and
spoken
- Experience with validation is considered an
advantage
