We are looking for a Senior Accountant Specialist for our customer Novo Nordisk. You will be part of the Accounting & Taxation Team which is a part of the Business area head office and consists of a team of six people, primarily based in Malmö. The team is responsible for Accounting, Taxes, Transfer Pricing, Financial Reporting and for giving general support to the countries within the business area, including the Regional European office which is based in Ørestad, Denmark.
In the role as Senior Accountant Specialist, you will, on both affiliate and business area level, be expected to deliver high quality accounting services, to ensure accurate financial accounting and reporting and to manage the internal control environment. You will act as a Finance Partner to the affiliates and the local Business Support Director by ensuring financial compliance, accurate accounting and sharing better practices helping the local affiliates to focus on their business operations. You will report directly to the Accounting Director.
You will also be the First Point of Contact for the local Business Support Director in one to two countries in Europe to deliver support regarding monthly accounting and in monthly reporting. You will be in contact with the Global Center of Excellence for Accounting in India who are responsible for the current recording of transactions.
Your areas of responsibility will be:
• Accurate monthly and yearly financial accounting and reporting to HQ, as well to the local authorities
• Maintain and ensure financial compliance with the agreed set of financial policies and laws
• Provide accurate financial information for the business
• Monitor and implement efficient internal financial control systems
• Establish and develop guidelines and policies regarding the financial reporting in Sweden and India
Qualifications:
• Masters´ degree or similar with good results
• Accounting for at least five years and preferably as an Accountant Specialist
• You are fluent in both written and spoken Swedish and English
• Proficient knowledge with Excel and preferred knowledge in SAP FI and SAP BO
As a person you have strong accounting skills combined with a pro-active mindset and "can do" attitude, you can drive interaction with your key stakeholders, you are focused and take pride in delivering high quality on time and are naturally meticulous. You are able to communicate numbers and accounting in an easy and understandable way. Furthermore, you have strong communication skills, show a high level of energy and good ability to work in a team and are ready to invest time and effort in understanding the business environment in which we operate, and you have great interest of improve financial processes.
You will take great part in your own development in the role as Finance Partner and contribute to the development of our Regional Centre of Excellence.
