The department Projects, Strategy and Regions supports Purchasing globally in multiple areas, including business development. We are currently looking for a business development coordinator with focus on sustainability.

In this job you’ll get the possibility to work with something close to your heart. At the same time you help Scania on its way of becoming leader in sustainable transport by minimizing risk and increasing sustainability performance in our supply chain.

Job description

Together with the rest of the team you will be responsible for supporting the Purchasing organisation and our suppliers in sustainability matters. You main tasks will be to run our supplier assessment, follow-up and risk rating processes.

You will engage with suppliers in campaigns and follow-up using our self-assessment questionnaire and you will support our purchasers by conducting supplier risk ratings for sourcing decisions. Additionally, an important part of the job is to develop our way of working to increase efficiency and value.

You will work closely with purchasing colleagues globally within the Volkswagen group and you will have frequent interactions with sustainability professionals externally.

Your profile

You are passionate about sustainability and have a strong supply chain interest. You have a relevant education or experience from a supply chain context as buyer, either at Scania or elsewhere.

We are looking for a person who are professional, flexible and customer focused. You will have many customers and have the ability to structure your work and deliver both quantity and quality. You have developed computer skills and an interest in digitalisation.

The role involves a large international network, so you will need good communication skills and be proficient in both written and spoken English. Additional languages is a merit.
