Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania Financial Services (SFS) is serving Scania customers, dealers and distributors in some 55 markets through 15 business units (BU’s) by offering competitive and innovative financing and insurance solutions. Over 950 dedicated professionals manage a portfolio consisting of more than 150.000 finance contracts representing around 88 bn SEK of assets. Furthermore SFS has built up an insurance portfolio of some 93.000 contracts.

The Group Compliance function and the Group Compliance Manager’s purpose is to secure an adequate management and independent control of compliance risks within Scania Financial Services as well as secure follow-up and reporting to the Senior Vice President and the SFS Board of Directors.

 

Your Task

Your main focus is to provide strategic guidance to the Senior Vice President and Board of Directors of Financial Services on matters relating to Group Compliance. As an independent review and evaluation body within the organization you ensure that group compliance issues and concerns are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved. This involves on a yearly basis presenting a compliance plan to the Board of Directors, describing the activities and controls that Group Compliance function plans to perform – and continuously follow up and report on the status of compliance risks and actions taken to control them.

Your mission include to develop, initiate, maintain and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the group compliance management framework, taking into account laws, rules, regulations and standards that Scania Financial Services need to comply with, and assess the impacts of changes in the regulatory environment.

Being a centre of expertise, Group Compliance function have a special responsibility to manage the process of assessing compliance risks, advising and training the organisation on the subject and ultimately controlling appropriate corrective actions.

To be successful in your mission you will also have regular interaction and collaboration with other departments within Scania Financial Services (e.g. Internal Audit) but also within Scania Group (e.g. Scania Governance, Risk and Compliance function).

 

Your Profile

We are looking for a person with an academic degree and at least five years’ experience from Compliance Management area preferably within the Financial sector. A good knowledge in methodology and routines to manage compliance in order to report relevant and independent information and analysis is crucial. The knowledge should include a good understanding of governance, internal control and regulatory requirements for credit institutions, e.g. EBA/GL/2017/11 and the relevant Regulatory Codes of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.

To succeed in the role you need to be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business, being fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. The job offers plenty of international contacts with our Finance companies, this also means that you are expected to travel from time to time.

In this position you will be reporting to the Senior Vice President of Scania Financial Services.

You will be located in Södertälje, Sweden
