This role is a shared talent role, and you will thus be cooperating with multiple teams. You will work closely with both the project owners and developers defining and building test strategies and processes. You will be responsible for executing manual tests, but the goal is for you to teach the different teams how to do this themselves. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and understand product requirements.
• Develop new system verification requirements for innovative new products.
• Budget for, order, and maintain test equipment.
• Debug and report issues found during testing, involving development engineers.
• Work with development engineers to create, write, and review test scripts.
• Design and create test scripts to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability in preparation for implementation.
• Assist with manual testing when needed (although you should make sure this is rare)
• Work with the Product Owners and developers to define an efficient test process and test strategy for the teams.
• Plan test schedules or strategies together with Product Owners in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.

What we are looking for

• Essential Skill & Experience Requirements (required):
• 2 or more years of software testing experience, preferably in a lead or strategic position.
• Analysis of performance, calibration, data collection, system integration & testing.
• Humble personality - the job requires manual testing as well as strategic abilities, you love doing whatever is needed to ensure success and quality.
• A burning passion for delivering high-quality products, and not letting our users down.

Preferred Skills & Experience (useful):

• Previous experience from working in a start-up.
• Ability to work well under pressure and changing deadlines.
• A willingness to oversee an issue from start to finish with minimal oversight.
• The ability to be versatile and flexible in your workflow.
• Can quickly create and lead cross-team task forces to resolve issues.
• Assist in the testing of various components of the code to assure proper functionality.
• Ability to handle concurrent programs and work effectively independently, in a team, or collaborative environment.
