Paradox Arctic is now looking to hire a Game Programmer to work in a dynamic, supportive, playful and exciting environment. As a Game Programmer you will…

Solve interesting problems, from designing and building new systems from scratch to working with already existing ones while keeping stability and performance high. You will get the chance to work with many different areas of a product from creating a presentable user interface to multithreading and managing online services and features.

Requirements

• Good understanding of modern C/C++.
• A few years of work experience with C++.
• Good debugging skills.
• Ability to estimate your tasks and collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Since we’re working in an international environment, it’s important that you’re comfortable communicating in english on a daily basis. If you’ve got any experience with GameSparks and/or Unity or Unreal, that’s going to be an advantage. The right person has a big interest in creating enjoyable user experiences. If you have an interest in strategy and management games - that’s good! If you’ve been part of developing a published title - that’s even better!

Reports to: Programmer Manager

Location: Umeå
