Do you want to work with something really meaningful? Would you like to participate in changing the world to something better? The department Autonomous vehicles is responsible for developing future Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS). This work is done using agile and self-steered teams with the ambition to evaluate upcoming technologies and developing these for serial production.

One of the key responsibilities for the department, is the strategic and operational responsibility for developing the next generation of vehicle platform related to the ATS environment. This includes design and test of the complete vehicle platform, enabling state-of-the-art development-, simulation- and logging environment. Our purpose is to have the best suitable computational environment, allowing fast software and hardware interactions for our ATS development teams.

We are now looking for first line managers who are eager to contribute to the above and to shape the groups of this newly formed Section. 

Assignment

You will be responsible for the group working either with Development Environment, Virtual Testing Environment or Logging functionality. The Groups consists of around 10 highly experienced and motivated Engineers. This position is located in Södertälje. 

Example of group responsibilities:

Development Environment:

  • Configuration Management

  • Automatic scheduling services

  • Visualisation of the development pipeline

 

Virtual Testing Environment:

  • Improve and quality secure our Simulation environment 
  • Provide simulation tools for our development teams

 

Logging functionality:

  • Enable logging of all data required by the development teams 
  • Logging management and cloud solutions 
  • Enable re-simulation of logs

You will have a mix of tasks in terms of recruitment, competence development, coaching of employees, supporting improvement work both within the group, section and cross functionally. You also support the teams in their collaboration with other teams as well as other key stakeholders within and outside of the department.

You will work closely with the other managers within and outside of the department, as well as contribute to the section management team work such as strategical planning and organization development.

Your profile

To succeed in this position you need to be strong in building teams, cross-functional work, be communicative, show drive and initiative and be energized by challenges. 

We are looking for a can-do mentality combined with an analytical mindset and structured way of working. To fit the expectations of the role we think you:

  • have managerial and leadership experience 

  • feel highly motivated by the mission and challenges within our area of responsibility

  • have worked with Embedded systems

  • are experienced and interested in agile development methods

  • have a graduate or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent (B.Sc., M.Sc. and/or PhD)

Good knowledge of Swedish and English is required. Experience of CI-pipeline is an advantage. Knowledge about Scania and Scania´s methods and processes is meritorious.
