Your Mission

You as a Data Scientist, will take on the responsibility of collecting, organizing, analyzing and interpreting Truecaller data, drawing insightful conclusions with the aim of enhancing our products and business plan influencing where we're heading as a company.  

You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering and Commercial functions in your team in order to identify and follow up on metrics, evaluate A/B tests and user behavior and identify product insights. You will work both independently and proactively with identifying improvement opportunities as well as being involved in separate projects. You will be a key member of the Business Unit by identifying and communicating data insights making sure we're headed the right direction.

Your responsibilities 

• Analyzing customer data and assisting product development in finding new innovative ways of presenting and making use of data, including insightful visual summaries.  
• Quickly and accurately answering key business questions from various stakeholders (marketing, strategy, product etc)
• Build extraction, transformation, and loading pipelines, as well as algorithmic decision making pipelines including machine learning techniques
• Support our management team in identifying, measuring and following up on key metrics, such as retention rates
• Providing regular, accurate and comprehensive statistical reports
• Ensuring the quality of data and actively working on cleaning data to make sure of top-notch relevance and accuracy

Some of the things we would like to see...

• 1-2 years of experience in an analytical/quantitative/business intelligence role
• Strong knowledge of data querying languages such as SQL/Hive
• Demonstrated ability to take complex and ambiguous business problems, break them down into small components, and tackle them autonomously
• Excellent data visualization skills to concisely answer business problems
• Great attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Experience with open-source/Hadoop ecosystem a big advantage
• Programming knowledge in at least one language (Scala/Python/Java) an advantage
