Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
About us
As a component owner within the group electronic control unit design you are responsible for several complex electrical hardwares. Our focus is on the more advanced units controlling the functions in the truck with a wide spread from air pressure to autonomous vehicles. At our team we focus on the hardware part of the system but we need to work close by to function and software developers. We use our knowledge in electronics together with the rest of Scania(e.g. system architecture, test, production, purchasing) to understand how we should specify the hardware. We do not design our own circuit boards at Scania but we evaluate proposals from our suppliers. We have direct contact with the supplier during all phases of a project. We also collaborate actively within the Traton group.
We are proud over our electrical system at Scania since it has a very high quality. Our team consist of several cultures and ages.
About you
We believe you have been working within electronics for a while and feel comfortable with both details on single components and also working on a higher project level. You are familiar with most of the following areas and maybe even expert in one of them; microprocessors, EMC, ESD, PCB design, test, analog circuits, underfill, PCB production, conformal coating, life length calculations etc.
You like to both dig in to details and grasp the bigger picture. Since we also have direct contact with suppliers during different project phases you have the comfort to handle different social challenges that require both a high technical level and some sort of political instinct.
In general technology flows in you veins and the chance is big that you have some private projects at home within the field as well.
All work related to commercial vehicles is off course beneficial. Your education level is probably Master within electronics.
