Data Scientist/Analyst within Consumer Sales i Stockholm (Solna)

 
Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as Data Scientist/Analyst within Consumer Sales Nordic. Business Unit Consumer Sales Nordic is responsible for the sales of electricity contracts and other energy related products and services to private customers and small- and medium sized companies in the Nordic region.

As Data Scientist you will play an important role in making Consumer Sales Nordic more data driven and actively contribute with expertise within statistical analysis and predictive modeling . You will drive analytical initiatives in cross-functional agile teams and work closely with other analysts. You will also work proactively with the development of our analytical data environment and make sure that we have access to and get as much value as possible from existing and new data sources. Some of the languages and technologies we use are Python, R, SQL, SPSS Modeler, Azure and Google analytics.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Make quantitative analyses to generate insights and identify new business opportunities
- Build predictive models and use advanced analytics to optimize business results
- Work proactively with large and complex data sets and explore new data sources
- Together with other analysts and IT, maintain and develop our data environment
- Follow up and reporting

Your background and profile
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering)
- Programming skills (e.g. SQL, Python, R)
- Experience working with large amounts of data
- Experience and knowledge with statistical concepts and machine learning methods
- Ability to present complex results to a non-technical audience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English
