Data Engineer for Machine Learning based Data Products

We are now looking for a key player to join our cross-functional Data Product Team. The team has the core mission to deliver production scale Machine Learning Systems packaged as Data Products ready to be utilized by Tele2s business functions. As a member you will take part in solving new challenges in an autonomous team working with managed cloud services and impacting Tele2 by bringing smartness into different customer facing systems.

The person we are searching for is an experienced developer who can get an understanding of the problems at hand and can come up with different approaches to solving them. You need to be experienced in Big Data and understand the essential components in a Machine Learning solution.  We are of course happy to see you having experience from working in companies excelling in Big Data and building Big Data pipelines.

Technical skills:

• At least 3 years experience in software development
• Advanced programming experience and at least 2 years of experience in Data Engineering
• Developing Big Data pipelines with Spark
• Functional programming experience

Experience and knowledge in some of the following: 

• Exploration of data and research oriented work
• Deployment and automation of machine-learning (ML) models
• Combining and mapping data sources to solve use cases
• Integration of ML models into business processes
• CI/CD
• Using Scala on Spark
• Infrastructure as Code
• Build, automate and document Big Data pipelines
• Familiar with at least one of the major cloud platforms

We have a small but highly skilled team today that you will be joining consisting of Data Scientist, Data Engineers and SA. We are running dev/ops and have the skill set needed to deliver data products today, we expect you to bring some strengths where you can improve the team as well as areas in need of development where we can help you develop.

Personal profile:
• Communication skills – will interact with both business and IT 
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in fields related to software engineering, data science, machine-learning or similar
