Your responsibilities as Data Engineer BI
You will become part of the Customer Analytics team that develops and keeps our data used mainly for customer analytics together in a data platform. As a Data Engineer you will have an important role in capturing the potential that analytics can give Vattenfall. You will design, build and integrate data from various sources. You will write complex data queries and create data infrastructure in a simple and efficient matter. You will visualize data for the business to make it possible to e.g. increase decision accuracy and improve process efficiency.
Key responsibilities include creation of data products to accelerate Vattenfall’s digital transformation strategy
Your profile as Data Engineer BI
We are looking for recent graduates holding an academic degree as well as young talents with no more than 3 years of working experience. Your academic degree should not be later than 2016. You are fluent in English and in Swedish both oral and written. Skills in other world languages can be a merit. Of course you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe.
As a person you are a brilliant networker, you know how to involve and align with people around you in order to drive forward. You are a critical thinker, fast learner, always with one ear on the ground to catch up new IT developments. We are looking for a person with excellence performing mindset. You are a driver of new digitalization.
As a Junior BI/Data Engineer you recognize yourself in the following qualifications:
• Master or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable degree
• Great interest in learning new technology and keep up to date in areas like data flows, machine learning and predictive modeling
You are eager to understand business challenges to be able to help in solving them using the latest technology. You have a hands-on mentality to solve complex issues. You also have strong communication skills with a positive mindset and integrate effectively into teams to support team goals.

Vattenfall IT Young Talents Program is the kickstart of your IT-career within Vattenfall. In the program you will have the opportunity to visit different areas and countries within our IT-organization including Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany and Poland. There are planned weeks for both your own personal development and internal courses from our Vattenfall Management Institute on leadership in Vattenfall.
