“Content is king”  - An often cited quote, maybe so often it is turning to into a cliché. Many people would credit Bill Gates of Microsoft to have said it first, but originally it is actually a statement from Sumner Redstone, chairman of Viacom, the CBS Corporation, and MTV, perhaps the hottest global media brand of the 90’s. It captures a phenomenon that is as true today as almost any time in history. People love a good story! It has taken different shapes and forms over time and it is a significant part of many people’s lives. Every day. Today’s storytelling comes from brands like TV4, Netflix, YouTube, Viaplay, National Geographic, Nickelodeon and many others. In parallel we see new brands like Amazon, Hulu and Apple entering the market expanding their business into the content arena. That is our trade in the Content department of Tele2 Group. We live and breathe the commercial aspects and relationships of the modern storytelling industry. We’re in a fast moving, transforming business environment and we need more boots on the ground. It will not be easy, but challenging. It will be complex and the old playbook does not work anymore. But it will be fun.

As Content Manager, you are a central part of defining and shaping the future of TV for Tele2 Group and our brands Com Hem and Boxer. You are responsible for defining and selecting the content and programming that will make up our media offerings across the company platforms.

You are also a spokesperson and you will represent the content line up and proposition externally as throughout the company. You do this by creating, developing and visualizing the vision and roadmap for which content to distribute on the company platforms. In the key role as an interface between the content providers and product teams , the CM initiate and manage the impetus required to match available content with customer propositions.

In acquiring content, the CM will negotiate the agreements necessary to secure carriage and distribution of desired content, incl. drafting and documentation of commercial terms.

The CM role requires the candidate to manage both commercial and technical complexity and understand how different content propositions impact different parts of the organization. You need to apprehend content preferences and requirements from customers and how that translates into a customer experience incl. but not limited to NPS metrics impact of different choices and strands of content.

By using a data-driven approach in profiling and selection of content, the content team is a key stakeholder in analyzing usage from T2 platforms incl. providing requirements when commissioning external research. All with the objective to support cost-efficient growth of the companys product portfolio.

Requirements

• 3-5 year relevant work experience, eg, telecoms, media or webcentric entertainment or communication services.
• Experience from business and commercial development
• Negotiation skills
• Experience in compiling decision support documentation such as business case, ROI calculations incl. visualizing key points and present to senior management
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communicator and high stylistic ability. Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Additional language is merit.
• International experience
   

The position is located in our headquarters in Kista, Stockholm.
