You will be part of High Voltage Breakers, a business unit within the Power Grids division in Ludvika. High Voltage Breakers has a worldwide ABB responsibility for development, production and sales of high voltage breakers for power systems within both AC and DC. The High Voltage Breaker is an essential part of a reliable and energy efficient power system, and our markets are found both in Sweden and in other parts of the world.

Would you like to take on a position where you will work with design and customer adjustments of high voltage breakers? Do you thrive in an environment where teamwork makes up an essential part of your day?

As a Design engineer at HV Breakers, your challenge will be to produce mechanical drawings, electrical circuit diagrams and documents, for example from the 3D CAD program CREO and E3. You will work with certification and/or delivery projects, both independently and with coworkers, and be in regular contact with our customers. You will be responsible for the design phase of our projects, you will team up with sales people and order managers to make sure the orders are processed throughout the organization including production. You will also ensure that the design is aligned with our orders. You will be responsibly to cover several countries and you will gain valuable international experience at the same time as you get the benefit of travelling with work.

You have a technical high school diploma along with design experience. Alternatively, you hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering with a major in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Product knowledge for High Voltage Breaker is qualifying. You will work in a global company and it is crucial that you, apart from Swedish, are fluent in written and spoken English. It is also positive if you have worked with electrical CAD (E3), MS Office, Business system (ERP-LN) and a document management system.

In addition, experience from work in smaller projects, is qualifying. You have integrity and a technical interest as well as the enthusiasm and creativity required to come up with ideas and solutions. You can apply a long perspective in/to your work and always finish what you set out to do. Moreover, you appreciate working with your colleagues and understand the importance of investing in long-term customer relations.
