Hedge Fund Analyst to Fundamental Equities, Nordea Asset Management, Stockholm

We are looking for a Hedge Fund Analyst to join our Fundamental Equities team. You will do equity research globally with primary focus on identifying short selling ideas. This is an opportunity for you to be part of an international equity team within Nordea Asset Management focused on sustainable investing based on bottom up analysis.

In Fundamental Equities in Nordea Asset Management, we manage international, fundamental, bottom up sustainable equity mandates. These include existing long-only Global, Regional and Thematic high conviction portfolios, with an ambition to expand into long-short absolute return portfolios.

We are a team of 25 investment professionals operating out of Copenhagen and Stockholm. The team is diverse with 10 nationalities and 11 languages represented. This Hedge Fund Analyst position will be placed in Stockholm.

Task & responsibility

• Perform in-depth equity research of companies with the primary responsibility of generating short selling ideas. Your coverage area will be Global
• Contribute to a strong analytical platform with other competent analysts covering different sectors and regions

Your profile and background

• We are looking for candidates with a true interest in equities, strong analytical capabilities and with passion for understanding business models and industries
• You have excellent oral and written communication skills and are able to communicate investment ideas in a clear and structured manner
• You should be an advanced user in Excel
• You have worked at least 2 years with equity research and have experience of short selling
• Candidates should have a degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting or hold a CFA
