Field-test Engineer at Scania Engines i Sodertalje

We are looking for a new member to our team of field-test engineers. Are you the one?

Scania Engines is a product area, with responsibility to develop and market Engines for a broad range of industrial and marine applications. The business is managed as a “Company within the company”, based on synergies, with a clear profitability target above the general Scania target. Presently we are growing all segments with increased margins.

At Technical Development, within Scania Engines, we are responsible for the development and adaptation of the complete engines and it´s performance throughout the complete project and product lifecycle. The shift towards sustainable and electrified solutions is evident also in the Engines business and we are determined to lead the way. 

Assignment

Field testing is an important tool in our development toolbox. You will be in a central position with cross-functional cooperation close to the customer, design teams, support and sales functions. You will have the opportunity to work with and develop the team of field-test engineers. The common challenge is to establish and maintain field-test carriers for our ongoing and new projects.

The work will include regular trips to field-test customers, and those dealerships/ workshops close to the test carrier. You will also work with improvement and development of methodology, processes and tools.

As a field-test engineer you will learn and gain experience of the engine and aftertreatment system functions and hardware development.

Personal profile

You are a driven, structured, dedicated team player with good communication skills and a high degree of flexibility.

You have either a university degree in Engineering or have gained corresponding competence via experience. We expect you to be interested in, and have  understanding of technical development. You are fluent in English and Swedish. Experiences in powertrain development or testing are considered as merits.
