Our position at the crossroads of payments, consumer financing, ecommerce and banking means we are uniquely positioned to do this. There is no label for what we do.
Klarna was born in Stockholm in 2005 and today has 2500 employees working across Europe and the US. We currently serve 60 million consumers, work together with 130,000 merchants and process more than a million payment transactions a day. We are growing at 40% year on year and our investors include Visa, Atomico, Sequoia Capital, Permira and Bestseller group/ Anders Holch Povlsen. At Klarna, we are always interested in pushing the boundaries - anything to enable our teams to iterate at a faster pace while still keeping the high quality and security bar that we set. We are looking for an experienced engineer to help us on our potential journey into Microsoft Azure.
What you will do
You will work in a team with other engineers, helping us to understand how Azure can move us forward and where we will need to invest to make that happen. This will involve understanding how to run a general deployment platform while also helping us to gain the most value from some of Azure’s unique products in the AI/ML/Big Data space. We are already very experienced with running workloads in the cloud but are looking to quicken our understanding of Azure.
What will set you up for success in this role?
Deep practical knowledge of Azure offerings and IAM.
High judgement to make the right trade-offs for the customers and the business.
BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong coding ability in Python and/or other high-level programming languages.
Passion for system thinking and building clean, scalable and robust systems.
