2 students completing 30 credits (20 weeks) each.

Background
In order to keep our lead in security radars we need to constantly improve our products. We are today using 24GHz FMCW radar technology, but we now want to investigate if we can build a more advanced radars working at higher frequencies. In this thesis you will use Electromagnetic Simulation Software to design a patch array antenna and a corresponding Radar Cover (Radome).

Goal

• Get an understanding in patch antenna technology.
• Design a patch array antenna, using simulation software.
• Design a plastic cover, that works well with the radar, using simulation software.
• Get the antenna and cover manufactured.
• Test and verify the antenna and its cover.
